Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, has announced its acquisition of Computer Room Solutions (CRS), marking another step in its ongoing bolt-on acquisition strategy. The move is aimed at strengthening Legrand’s footprint in the high-growth data center market, particularly in the Oceania region.
With its headquarters in Mascot, Sydney, CRS is a well-known supplier of mission-critical infrastructure solutions for high-density IT settings, including data centers. About 80 specialists work for the organization, which generates about €30 million in sales annually. CRS offers highly designed solutions that meet the changing demands of business, cloud, and colocation facilities thanks to its extensive knowledge of white space infrastructure, which includes containment systems, mechanical walls, airflow optimization, and structural ceilings.
Legrand’s acquisition of CRS complements its existing portfolio of white and gray space offerings, enhancing its ability to serve a broader range of data center needs across Australia and neighboring markets. According to Legrand CEO Benoît Coquart, “This acquisition will significantly strengthen our positions both in Oceania and in the structurally promising data center vertical, which already represented around 20% of the Group’s revenue in 2024.”
Precision Cooling, UPS Systems
Computer Room Solutions brings to Legrand more than two decades of experience in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance IT environments. Its services span precision cooling, UPS systems, environmental and energy monitoring, access control, and fire suppression. These are supported by modular, scalable architectures tailored for hybrid, edge, and hyperscale deployments.
With a strong track record in engineering and project execution, CRS has established itself as a trusted partner for clients in finance, healthcare, government, education, and telecom. The acquisition would not only extend Legrand’s reach in Oceania but also reinforce its capabilities in providing sustainable, high-efficiency infrastructure for the global data center industry.
